Stephanie Alvarez-Jones is the Southeast Regional Attorney at the National Immigration Project (NIPNLG) and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. She primarily works to support immigrant communities and advocates in the Southeast, working on litigation and advocacy on a range of immigration enforcement issues. Before joining NIPNLG, Stephanie was an attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center's Immigrant Justice Project, where she litigated cases challenging state and federal anti-immigrant policies and represented noncitizens in state and federal court. Prior to SPLC, Stephanie was a Justice Catalyst Fellow at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, where she represented families detained at the family detention center in Dilley, Texas. Stephanie clerked for the New Jersey Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District. She graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and Princeton University.
