Dianna Truong is Director of Development at the National Immigration Project. Most recently, she led development operations at Welcome.US, a national initiative mobilizing Americans to welcome refugees and help them thrive. Previously, she served as Director of Communications and Development at Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR), leading institutional messaging and driving fundraising operations to galvanize philanthropy around immigrant justice and belonging.
Before joining GCIR, Dianna was a business development communications strategist at Palantir Technologies, where she wrote about the technology’s application to a wide range of public interest issues, from global health to humanitarian crisis response. Prior to that, she was a litigation attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she was actively involved in immigration pro bono work. Dianna also served on the board of directors of the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area and the OneJustice advisory board.
Dianna holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Southern California. She is a San Francisco Bay Area native and proud daughter of Vietnamese immigrants.
