National Immigration Project Submits Comment Opposing HUD Mixed-Status Families Rule

On February 20, 2206, the Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a proposed rule which would change three decades of practice and prevent families that include any noncitizens who are not authorized to receive federal housing subsidies from residing together. This rule is another example of the administration maximizing cruelty and forcing low-income Americans to choose between their housing and their families.
