Codner v. Choate: Medically-Vulnerable Immigrants Detained by ICE in Aurora, Colorado Seek Immediate Release Amidst Coronavirus Pandemic
The Aurora ICE Detention Facility has confirmed COVID-19 cases and it is only a matter of time until the facility faces a widespread outbreak of the highly infectious disease. This litigation seeks the release of fourteen immigrants, many of whom are transgender, detained in the Aurora facility who face life-threatening consequences if they contract COVID-19 while detained.
NIPNLG, Arnold & Porter, LLP, and Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network filed this lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
