Alan Dicker is the IMPOWER Staff Attorney at NIPNLG, working with a coalition of AFL-CIO-affiliated building trades unions to obtain labor-based immigration relief for eligible workers. Before joining NIPNLG, Alan was a labor and employment attorney at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. He was also deeply involved in organizing around immigration issues at the El Paso-Ciudad Juárez border, including as a co-founder of the Fronterizo Fianza Fund and RFK Human Rights Award-winning Detained Migrant Solidarity Committee. Alan holds a law degree from the University of Arizona, a BA from New Mexico State University, and a certificate in Mexican Public Law from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
